The Western Freshman volleyball team hosted Pennfield in their first home I8 conference matchup. The Panthers started off slow struggling with serve receive and communication. Pennfield would take the lead early in the first set and defeat Western 11-25. However, Western would come alive in the second set with aggressive serving and top-notch communication. They command the court on serve receive and defended their side of the court, picking up all the tips in the middle of the court. Western would go on a run that would help secure the win 25-11. The third set had the same positive energy, and the athletes were motivated to win. They worked together as a team to make each touch better and went on to defeat Pennfield 15-11.
