The Western Volleyball team welcomed I8 rival Pennfield to Western on Wednesday evening and continued their strong start to the season with a convincing three-set victory for the sweep. Western came out ready to play and controlled the match from start to finish, defeating Pennfield: 25-16, 25-10, 25-17. The Panthers played with consistency and energy throughout the night, taking care of business at home and earning their first I8 conference victory of the season. With the win, Western improves to 10-0 overall and 1-0 in I8 play. The Panthers are right back on the court Thursday. They will travel to Tecumseh for a quad where they will face Tecumseh, Ida, and Clinton.
