Western Panthers Sweep Home Tri The Western Panthers Varsity Volleyball team picked up two big wins at their home tri, defeating Lenawee Christian and East Lansing. Western opened the night against Lenawee Christian in a hard-fought three-set battle. The Panthers dropped a tight first set, 23-25, as serving struggles made it difficult for Western to find its rhythm. Instead of letting the first-set loss get to them, the Panthers responded. Western battled through a back-and-forth second set and showed plenty of fight when it mattered most, pulling out an exciting 27-25 victory to force a deciding third set. With the momentum on their side, the Panthers took control. Western played with more confidence and consistency and finished off Lenawee Christian with a powerful 25-16 win in the third set. In the second match of the night, Western carried that momentum into its matchup with East Lansing. The Panthers put together a much more consistent performance, taking the first set 25-18 before completing the sweep with a 25-17 victory. It was a strong night at home for the Panthers, who showed their ability to battle through adversity, make adjustments, and find a way to win! A great night for Western Volleyball! Go Panthers!
