Western JV volleyball competed in a home tri Wednesday against East Lansing and Lenawee Christian. Western faced East Lansing first. Western was able to pull away in the first set thanks to an 8 point serve rally from Maddi Sparks. Western won set one 25-18. Western started off set two with a six point start. The set continued to be close with Western able to secure the win 25-20. Western then faced Lenawee Christian picking up another win in two sets. Western won set one 25-20. A slow start in set two put Western down by 8 points early. Key serving from Maddi Sparks again put Western back in winning position finishing 25-22. Next up, the Panthers will compete in their first conference match of the season on September 9th against Pennfield. Come out and support our Panthers on youth night!
