The Lady Panthers went 2-0 in their home Tri Meet!! The Freshman volleyball team would compete against a strong serving East Lansing team, who had beat the Milan team in the first match of the night. Western started off a little sluggish (first day of school and all) but they were able to turn it around with a solo block from Breslyn Walniewski! The communication increased and so did the aces. The Lady Panthers racked up a total of 10, 3 coming from Morgan Smith. Breslyn Walniewski and Malynn Donnelly would each add 2 more! Defeating East Lansing 25-20, 25-10. Next, Western would face Milan. Everyone was able to contribute tonight.The Lady Panthers worked on some of their skills that they had just practiced! They had 5 backrow attacks and got 2 kills!! The service was super aggressive and they were trying to hit the zones I gave them. Malynn Donnelly added 5 more aces to her name for the night. The Freshman team really came together as a team tonight. Their communication is starting to be more constant and you can really see the difference that makes out on the court for them. They would go on to beat Milan 25-7, 25-9.
