The Western JV volleyball team walked away from their first tri of the season with two wins. The team showed a great deal of fight, determination and grit throughout the evening. The Panthers faced Columbia Central first and in a tight match the Panthers lost 23-25. We came back ready to fight. Even though the game continued to go back and forth, Western came out on top with another close score of 25-22. Western won the third set 15-12 to defeat Columbia Central. Western faced Pewamo Westphalia next and came out with new confidence and started meshing together as a team. The first set proved to be another fight. Western gave up 4 consecutive points at the end of the game pushing us into extra points. The set finished in Western’s favor with a score of 27-25. Western dominated in the second set winning 25-15.
